You must be able to attend on the dates offered in order to progress in the process.   The fitness test will be a bleep test and you must achieve level 8.8 in order to pass.

Why we need you

Prevention

Our prevention work focuses on those most in need in our communities and helps dramatically reduce the risks that people face. We would rather help prevent fires than put them out.

Protection

We are here to help, serve and protect the communities of West Yorkshire.

Response

We respond to a variety of incidents up and down the county. In 2019/20 we responded to 23355 incidents!

Health

The role the service plays in promoting health within the county and the work done to support the health and social care systems.

STAGES & KEY DATES

After completing the fitness test, if successful you will be invited to an online test, a physical test and separate assessment centre where we will measure your fitness, behaviours, attitude and how you interact with a diverse group of individuals.
