Pay scales are correct as at 1 July 2021 and are reviewed annually.

UNIFORM

All firefighters are issued with a uniform and kit before initial training commences.

​Uniforms must conform to our uniform standards but as an inclusive workplace we understand that we are all unique – our uniforms are not ‘one size fits all’, we accommodate all genders, shapes and sizes.

ANNUAL LEAVE

20 days annual leave plus 8 public holidays, increasing to 23 days after 5 years' service. There is also a provision for paid and unpaid special leave.

Occupational health support (including nurses, physiotherapy, medical checks, a 24/7 employee assistance programme which offers advice and counselling).

PENSION SCHEME

You will automatically become a member of the 2015 Firefighter’s Pension Scheme. This is a career average pension scheme.
